Nebraska Legislature WON’T—EPIC WILL

The EPIC Plan

Step 1: Raise $1.86 Million

  • If 8,000 people each donate $250, that equals $2 million.

Step 2: Collect 168,000 Signatures with Paid Nebraska Circulators

  • Pay Nebraskans $10 per signature.
  • A person who donates $250 can earn that back by collecting just 25 signatures.
  • If each of our 8,000 donors secures just 25 signatures, we will reach 200,000 signatures, more than enough to put EPIC on the 2028 ballot.

Step 3: Vote YES for EPIC in the 2028 election.

  • This ensures that all governmental entities in Nebraska can no longer collect Property Tax.

What Changed with the Current EPIC Petition Drive

Our long-term goal remains the same: to eliminate the three burdensome taxes that
affect Nebraskans most, including property taxes, income taxes, and inheritance taxes.
However, after careful consideration, we believe a step-by-step approach will give us
the greatest chance of success.

As a result, the current petition drive will focus solely on the elimination of property
taxes. Property taxes place the greatest burden on Nebraska families, homeowners,
farmers, ranchers, and businesses. By concentrating on this single issue, we believe it
will be more difficult for opponents to mischaracterize or effectively argue against the
proposal.

Once property tax elimination is secured through an amendment to the Nebraska
Constitution and Nebraskans begin to experience the benefits of increased economic
growth and opportunity, we believe it will be much easier to pursue the elimination of
income taxes and inheritance taxes as future steps.
